Meet the founders behind Iris Veterinary Care.

Dr. Kyra Marsigliano and Dr. Katie Green are the wife-and-wife team behind Iris Veterinary Care, bringing nearly two decades of combined experience—and a deep, personal commitment to their patients and clients—to every visit.

A simple line drawing of two animal paw prints, each formed by a continuous line that flows across the light gray background, suggesting movement or a path—perfect for a mobile vet or veterinarian service logo.

They first met while working as shelter veterinarians at the Jacksonville Humane Society in Florida, united by a shared love for animals and a drive to make a meaningful difference in their community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they stepped into new roles as co-owners of Intracoastal West Veterinary Hospital after the sudden passing of a close friend and colleague. There, they found their individual strengths: Dr. M in cultivating deep, lasting client relationships through her work in internal medicine, and Dr. Green in sharpening her surgical expertise while discovering a knack for business leadership.

How It Started

Two women wearing purple scrubs stand side by side, smiling in what appears to be a mobile vet or hospital setting, with equipment visible in the background.

After five years of building something truly special, they made the difficult decision to leave Jacksonville and relocate to Lewes, Delaware, to be closer to Dr. M’s aging parents. Family means everything to them—whether it’s advocating for their loved ones' medical care or helping clients do the same for their pets. They quickly fell in love with the charm, warmth, and strong sense of community in Lewes, and they’re thrilled to now call it home.

With Iris Veterinary Care, they bring not only their medical experience but also their full hearts—committed to offering an elevated, personalized, and deeply compassionate standard of care. Together, they are redefining what it means to be your family veterinarian.
5 Years Later
Two people smile while standing outside by a lake, both wearing matching purple velvet suits, black shirts, and pearl necklaces. Trees and greenery are in the background, giving a peaceful vibe—like finding a caring mobile veterinarian or vet near me. A light brown cat with green eyes sits alertly in tall green grass, surrounded by lush foliage and trees, as a mobile veterinarian observes nearby in this peaceful natural outdoor setting.
A person in a blue jacket and pink beanie smiles while holding a baby llama. Several llamas and green hills are visible in the background under a cloudy sky, perhaps waiting for their mobile veterinarian to arrive.

At Home

Outside of work, the doctors share a home filled with five beloved cats, fond memories of the two dogs they still miss dearly along with Iris, the inspiration for all of this, and dreams of a hobby farm that’s beginning to take shape. Just like the practice they’re building, their life together is grounded in care, connection, and a sense of purpose.
