Dr. Katie Green
Dr. Katie Green is a highly skilled veterinary surgeon, dedicated educator, and lifelong learner whose calm confidence in the operating room has saved and transformed countless lives. A graduate of the University of Florida and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Green leads with precision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her greatest joy lies in the creative problem-solving that surgery demands—and the deeply gratifying moment when a patient wakes up healthier, safer, and ready to return to the life they love.
Dr. Green’s surgical experience spans routine elective procedures like spay and neuter, complex diagnostics including biopsies, emergency soft tissue surgeries, and advanced oral surgery. She is particularly passionate about dental health, addressing painful conditions like stomatitis, periodontal disease, and oral resorptive lesions with the goal of restoring both comfort and longevity.
A fierce advocate for individualized care, Dr. Green meticulously tailors every anesthetic plan, surgical approach, and recovery protocol to the unique needs of each patient. Her commitment to ongoing education has taken her into the operating rooms of renowned specialists to learn new techniques and procedures. One of her proudest achievements as a practitioner was the successful surgical removal of over sixty heartworms from a dog in critical condition—a testament to her composure under pressure and technical mastery.
Dr. Green’s influence extends beyond the surgery suite. She is a passionate mentor and educator, having taught high-volume spay and neuter through Operation Catnip in Gainesville, FL and at the Jacksonville Humane Society. She co-leads international surgical missions to underserved communities through Project HEAL, providing vital care and training in remote areas of Ecuador. Locally, she nurtures the next generation of veterinary professionals by hosting externs and supporting high school veterinary assistant programs.
In her spare time, Dr. Green applies the same patience and dedication she brings to surgery to her second love: rescuing and reviving struggling houseplants. She has a particular soft spot for orchids and delights in coaxing even the most reluctant bloomers back to life—proof that healing, whether for pets or plants, is always worth the wait.
