Surgery
Every incision, every suture, every detail is guided by compassion and precision. At Iris Veterinary Care, surgery is not just a procedure—it is a promise to restore comfort and quality of life. Whether performing a “routine” spay or neuter, repairing a complex wound, removing a tumor, or addressing painful oral disease, her approach is the same: precision, patience, and compassion at every stage.
At Iris Veterinary Care, surgery is never routine.
It’s an act of trust, precision, and devotion. Our goal is simple yet profound: to make every procedure—from the smallest to the most complex—feel as safe, transparent, and personal as it should be.
Anesthetic Plan
Each anesthetic plan is tailored to the individual—meticulously adjusted for age, breed, weight, temperament, and health status. Throughout each procedure, your pet’s heart rate and rhythm, respiratory rate, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, blood pressure, and temperature are all continuously monitored by skilled hands and advanced equipment. An IV catheter in their leg allows medications to be delivered directly into your pet’s bloodstream to maintain balance and intervene early if needed. Every safeguard, every adjustment, every gentle touch is there to keep your pet safe and pain-free.
Post-Operative Recovery
Our commitment to your pet doesn’t end when the last knot is tied. Just as the anesthetic drugs and surgical approach are tailored to your pet’s individual needs, their recovery plan is also personalized. The post-operative recovery can vary based on so many factors—the reason for the surgery, the patient’s age and physical condition, the patient’s personality and normal activity level, and even their owner’s lifestyle and other needs.
Expertise
Dr. Green has performed thousands of surgeries, from emergency soft tissue surgeries to delicate oral procedures that restore comfort and quality of life. But the true reward isn’t just in the technical success—it’s in the transformation afterward: the senior dog who starts playing again after a mass removal, the cat who finally eats without pain, the young patient who wakes up safe and whole in their owner’s arms.
